A Home Search App that Puts the Buyer First: fypio
If you’re curious about what homes are on the market and want a new way to browse listings, try the fypio app. The notable aspect of fypio is that they start the home search with you, the home buyer, not the property. At most listing portals like Zillow or Trulia, visitors search for homes through content gathered from public directories. Fypio begins with the usual search criteria – zip code, price, number of bedrooms – but then takes a unique turn.
Fypio guides users to properties based on lifestyle. They do this by gauging the user’s desired neighborhood characteristics. This is broken down into nine categories: Low Crime, Schools, Shopping, Entertainment, Kid Friendly, Greenspace, Dog Friendly, Coastal and Health. You chose three of these options to narrow your search. The image below is a screenshot of these lifestyle choices.
Taking the lifestyle search further, fypio allows users to filter homes by architectural style: modern, contemporary and traditional.
Another clever function in the app is that you can filter your search results by what space to show. For example, if you select “bedrooms”, only images of bedrooms appear in your search results. The image below is another screenshot of the app.
