Meet the First Artificially Intelligent Digital Mortgage Adviser

September 20, 2016 By Gavin Grant Leave a Comment

If you’re like me, sometimes you’d rather talk to a robot than a person. For us, a start-up called  habito has created the perfect mortgage research tool. They have made the first artificially intelligent Digital Mortgage Adviser.

What is a digital mortgage adviser you ask? Well, let me explain.

The digital mortgage adviser by habito is a web-based application where people can enter basic financial information. Habito uses an algorithm to match the information with real-time market mortgage rates to calculate monthly payments. The algorithm allows the digital mortgage adviser to access hundreds of potential loan options as opposed to a handful at a time from a traditional human mortgage adviser.

Users of habito communicate the the digital mortgage adviser through a chat box that makes people feel like they are texting with an actual person on the other end. Customers simply answer questions by pushing buttons and filling in fields, then various results are displayed based on the information.

The wonderful thing about having an algorithm offer advise is that the information is unbiased. With habito, this mortgage search and comparison service is also free.

At the time of this writing the digital mortgage adviser by habito is only services customers in the UK. For a complete list of lenders habito currently has access to, click here.

Testimonials

"Gavin represented me in purchasing a piece of land in San Diego. No easy feat considering the shortage of available parcels. He was always attentive and extremely patient. I'd never gone into a purchase of this sort previously. So, I found his comprehensive knowledge of real estate and architecture and construction to be extremely helpful."
- John R.

"Thanks to Gavin's immediacy, tenacity, and efficacious communication, our dreams of owning a SoCal investment property came true. We were most impressed by his ability to be involved in the home buying process exactly as much and as little as we desired. His patience and deference to our specific needs and desires complimented both our search and purchase immensely."
- Chris M.

"I bought my first home through Gavin. He was very helpful during the entire process including architectural assessments, figuring out upgrade possibilities and estimated costs, as well as other issues when dealing in a sellers market. After one of my offers finally got accepted he even helped in holding appointments with home inspectors when I couldn't make it. Bottom line is Gavin never let me down. He always did what he said he would do and was always on time."
- Vinny T.
